Toni Diaper: Principal AISTD,AIDTA,RAD,
Cert Ed Leeds University
Toni trained in dance from the age of 6
and at age 16 entered full time training to become a dance teacher at the
Dorothy Stevens School of Dance.
Previous projects include work for dance schools in Ireland and
Germany, the guiding association of West Yorkshire and youth projects
Huddersfield.
Toni has been trained in the National
Curriculum standards through Leeds City Council and Kirklees Council by
Andrea Mallen of Dance In Education Services and has worked for both these
education authoroties in primary and secondry schools providing dance
services including GCSE and A level dance. She has also worked extensively
in SEN schools in Kirklees running projects and performances.
Toni firmly believes in ongoing
professional development and regularly attends seminars to remain up to
date on current practices and
continues to take professional examinations.
Toni currently holds Associate qualifications in Ballet, Tap and Modern Jaz
with the International Dance Teachers Association, Foundation in Dance
Instruction in Tap, Modern and Ballet with the Imperial Society of Teachers
of Dance and a teaching certificate in Ballet with the Royal Academy of
Dance. She also has her Certificate in Education (FE) from Leeds
University.
